Things I remember about the 2003 Blackout
Hey kids, in celebration of the 5th anniversary of the 2003 blackout, here's what I remember about it:
1) I was very impressed that people stepped up and took over directing traffic at intersections. Some guy at Bay/Bloor (Toronto's main intersection) conducted traffic for 6 hours.
2) The beer store was closed for days.
3) You could really see the stars at night without all of the light pollution.
4) It was three days before the lights came on at work and we got our computers back.
5) The neighbours all gathered outside in the dark socializing. Oh wait, thats a daily thing in my neighbourhood.
