Standing Room Only!

This past week, the Toronto Transit Commission announced an increased number of buses on the busiest routes in an effort to address complaints about waiting times and overcrowding.

The goal is to not have a rider waiting for longer than 30 minutes for a bus, and when one finally arrives, the rider can find a seat or at least avoid feeling like sardine.

Lets face it, while the TTC is decades behind necessary expansion (largely due to battles over funding and municipal pissing matches), it could always be worse.

There are parts of the world where the above image is seen on a daily basis.

Gives a whole new meaning to standing room only.
