"Its beginning to look alot like Christmas"

The #1 news story for the last day or so: snow.

SAY IT ISN'T SO!

The media is really starting to bug me. What's with the hype? Every year, Torontonians seem to be taken my suprise when it snows. Hey folks, it kind of does that every year. The first snowfall has to come sometime. What better time than just before Christmas.

Yes, it can be beautiful, particularly around the holiday season. For all I care, it can all melt on December 26th. Alas, it never does.

The shovelling is a pain, but without the snow everything is boring, brown and dead until Spring. It also makes this concrete jungle almost pretty.

There is really only one thing I hate about a snowfall in Toronto. Its all of you dickheads in your BMWs and SUVs that think that your blessed machine is not affected by the snow.

Go ahead and continue communting at MACH 1. Keep driving on my rear bumper. Weave through traffic. The rest of us love it when you add to the adventure of trying to commute in a snowstorm.

Really, we are all grateful to you for reminding the rest of us that caution can be thrown to the wind and some Torontonians are not impacted at all by adverse weather.

That is until you slide into a ditch or hit someone who is just trying to get to work, get home, or do some Christmas shopping.

When I flip you the bird, I really mean it.
