Two Port Credit fishermen did a good deed yesterday. While out in Lake Ontario fishing for salmon, they came across a young deer who had swan some 4 kilometres out into the lake and appeared to be heading for the States.
The two could tell the animal was exhausted, so they fabricated a noose and used it to keep the animal's head above water while they towed it back to shore. They stayed with the animal until it recovered.
Once again, there are two fishermen who have landed something bigger than anything I have ever caught.
