My love and I saw Blue Rodeo at Massey Hall last night (thanks for the date, honey).
Yes, to you youngins, they are still alive and Jim Cuddy can sing like few Canadians can. Great show, but I have to ask:
Has anyone else ever had the pleasure of sitting in those wooden seats in the third balcony? Exactly who's butt has enough padding to fit (first of all) and be comfortable (for an entire show).
They reminded me of the wooden chairs that my parent's church hall had in the basement.
The guy sitting in front of me will have indents in his back from my knees for weeks to come.
Thanks again Ed for the tickets. No hard feellings as you were quite justified in picking the nice comfy seats in the second balcony, all padded and reclining and stuff. They looked nice from our vantage point up in the attic but I couldn't really tell. I left my telescope at home.
Too bad about that 300 pound linebacker on your side, and the post on the other, and holy cow, was that the tallest music lover in Toronto parked in the seats immediately in front of you? That guy could blot out the sun!
Great place to see a band, but nostalgia comes at a price.
