Bye Jeff. We'll miss you.

1966-2008

Jeff was 41 and lost his fight with cancer this weekend. Without ever hearing Jeff play live or going to his club, here is what I know of Jeff:

1) Toronto radio stations are universally paying tribute to Jeff as a great Torontonian and musician.

2) He was a fanatastic guitarist. I could practice everyday for the rest of my life and not play like Jeff (download a couple of his tunes to your Ipod today as a tribute if you have never heard him. I promise you won't be disappointed). Better yet, go buy a CD.

3) He had an excellent sence of humour. I've heard him interviewed a number of times.

4) When I used to work at Yonge and King, I would see him pretty frequently in the street.

5) He was in the movie Roadhouse with Patick Swayze. We won't hold that against you.
